Hello Loopy Friends!

How did another week go by already? Mid May is here and how am I so far behind? I hope you had a good Mother's Day weekend. I had a great day with Bob and the Kids! The weather was great, and the day was relaxing. What more can one ask for? Lots more going on, so I'll get right to it. Except, A little plug. . .

I get a lot of comments from people appreciating the puppy photos, so behold my 4 fluff balls below. This crew is up for adoption through Colorado Puppy Rescue 😍 this Saturday, so you won't likely see them again next week 😢. I thought I had another week, but I miscalculated when they were ready. I'm going to be so sad 😭 I could have handled another week or two with them.

What's New at The Loopy Ewe?

Toft PomPoms!

It's been a bit since we had a good selection of Pom Pom. We decided to try something new, and these Toft PomsPoms are amazing. These gorgeous PomPoms are made of alpaca - which makes them extremely light and extremely soft. You hardly know they are there.  They have a snap attachment - so you can remove them for washing your hats, or change out colors if you want!  I am in love with the beautiful color assortment and elated by the sheer joy I get when petting these.

Gusto Wool - Wool & Cool

Gusto Wool presents a new yarn!  Wool & Cool is a gorgeous fingering weight just in time for summer! It is a blend of superwash merino (80%) and linen (20%), making it ideal for summer garments and accessories. I'm loving the Amrum Sweater by Katrin Schneider, although the variegation in these skeins may make them better suited for a shawl or a fade of some sort.

Camp Loopy 2026 - Loopy Garden Camp starts soon!

Camp Loopy 2026 - Loopy Garden Camp!

Loopy Garden Camp will run June, July & August, but Camp Week for June Projects is this week (now through May 19). You'll get a 10% discount on yarns purchased for your June project.  Details on Camp this year can be found in our Blog Post.  We have Loopy Garden Camp Stickers available again this year.  I think our logo is super cute, and would adorn your water bottle perfectly! We are trying something a little different this year - we have Loopy Garden Camp T-Shirts that will be printed on demand through a third party supplier (but ordered through our website). They come in 7 fun colors!  I'm so excited to see how it goes. I DO welcome feedback on your experience with this! If it goes well, I have more designs I'd like to put out there!

On Our Needles

Emily wore in her lovely Roma Vest by Mochi Knits. She used Sandnes Garn Peer Gynt and Tynn Silk Mohair to create a beautiful garment. I love that green!  It's been on my mind a lot lately. Loopy Kudos Emily!

I've been terrible about asking folks for pix of their makes. I feel as though I have squirrels chasing nuts through my brain. If I've missed your make, please know I didn't intentionally ignore it!  I just have to much of a ruckus going on in my head!

On My Needles

My Orienta Shawl by Cory Boberg is finished. I'm including it again this week because I blocked it and it looks much nicer. It's very large!   Malabrigo Sock is lovely.

My Astrid summer sweater (MIP46-Astrid by Quail Studio on Ravelry) using Mode at Rowan's Cotton DK has the back done and I'm working my way up the front.  It's a nice knit, and not too challenging brain-wise, so it's great for group knitting. I, ahem. didn't plan well, and I am short one skein of one of my blues, so I may be stuck for a little bit until it comes in. . . Don't worry. I have plenty of things to work on 🤣

I also test knit up a pattern for our Summer Solstice Box, but I can't show you!  Just know, it's gonna be good. . .

Have an excellent and creative week!
