Happy Autumnal Equinox everyone! It's Fall, Y'all, and officially sweater weather whether or not the temperatures agree. ๐งถ ๐ ๐
And, this week? Did we get a rest? Of course not! Homecoming, Senior picture viewing, new puppies . . . oh my! September keeps on rolling by so fast, and all the things I'd love to take time to savor seem to finish before I can process completely. I'm so thankful that we get to experience it all. I just wish it would go a little slower. That's life, though, right? BUT, I'm feeling the need to pause so I can better enjoy these moments! Can
we all agree to just relax a bit?
Yes, we did bring home 2 new bottle baby puppies who have been keeping me up all hours. Such cuties! I often get asked the story behind the puppies I foster. Well, these two are part of a litter of 8 who's mom was a stray in New Mexico. She was scared and wily and apparently could not be captured. Since the mom was afraid to return to care for her babies, rescue opted to bring them in for foster. We've named them Shellington and Peso (characters
from The Octonauts). We think they are about 17 days old now. We have NO IDEA the breed. We'll wait to see what they look like when they are a bit older to make a guess.
ALSO. . . just 6 days left to vote for us in the Top 10 Yarn Retailers at USA Today! We were stagnant at #5 the last few days, and we can't see updates anymore until the final tally is made, but. . . please keep trying! You can vote one time each day. Thank you all SO much for choosing The Loopy Ewe! You can vote for us HERE.

JulieSpins - Cashmere Silk Lace
|
JulieSpins sent a gorgeous palette of Cashmere Silk Lace. Yum. And the color options this time around are going to make it hard on you to pick which ones you want! The photos here don't include all the colors! I've made some beautifully light, soft and lustrous items with this yarn. Remember my Idaho Sunset Sweater by Caitlyn Turowski? Or my Myrkwood Shawl by Lanja Khon-Engheim? This yarn is seriously amazing.

Crystal brought a lovely sweater she made using Cascade Ultra Pima. She is always making things up on her own, so this one likely doesn't have a written pattern - isn't it gorgeous?! I wish I had that designer's touch! Such a talent! (and she is equally talented in crochet!)
Dawn brought in her GORGEOUS Prismarine (Alina Appasova) made using Urth Yarns Uneek Fingering and Harvest Fingering. I just love the colors she selected! It's been so fun watching it grow every week at Knit Night. Dawn has inspired me to make one of these myself. I just have to get a few other projects done before I can let myself cast on!
Loopy Kudos to you both!

My Carrot Patch Sweater by Svetlana Gibadullina remained in time out this past week. It's made using The Uncommon Thread Corriedale held together with The Uncommon Thread Divine Lace (or Urth Yarns Bonmoher for the carrots).
My Klein Pause blanket by Susanne Shahin got some love at Sit & Knit this past week, so it's a bit farther along! It's being made with Sirdar Jewelspun Aran.
I completed my I Heart Harvest Socks by Shelley Stone. They were knit using one of Little Squirrel Yarn's Sock Sets from almost a year ago. I think they turned out great!
I'm almost one slipper done with my Felted Clogs by Bev Galeskas (Fiber Trends). Just a few ends to weave in on this one and then on to the second! I'm using Cascade 220. These Mardi Gras colors for Bob are super festive. As usual for him, the second slipper won't be a perfect match to the first. He loves them to be different. Partly, it helps keep track of which foot each goes on. As a bonus, I don't have to worry about tracking what I did on the first one to make sure the second is the same! Win-Win!
Have an excellent and creative week! Kristine & the Loopy Ewe Crew
