Mid-October and finally a fantastic knit-crochet day. High of 62? Cloudy with a light mist to rain? Ideal for the season. Yes. I'm here for it! It's been way too hot up until today. I hope equally satisfying weather for you!
I feel as though I kind of lost a day of productivity this week, because, in my infinite wisdom, I chose to get my Covid, Flu and Shingles vaccinations all at once on Sunday. Monday was pretty exhausting. My arms are still sore, but I'm not as fatigued and achy today as I was yesterday, thank goodness. Hopefully this keeps the illness away for me! I still have the second Shingles vaccination to look forward to, though 😳.
We hosted a fantastic knitted knockers event on Saturday. Thank to all who participated. As a reminder - we do collect these for hand off to Gretchen & MaryKay to distribute as needed, if you've been wondering where to submit yours.
Puppies continue to grow, and honestly I don't know how I get any work done at all. These 3 are absolute perfection. The rescue got their DNA results back (tested only for Goldie, but, as siblings they are likely similar). Primarily German Shepherd with some Australian Cattle dog, Husky, Chow Chow and even 2% Chinese Street dog (???!!!!). Quite a mix. 100% adventure, cuteness and hilarity. Goldie and Bear have beautiful blue eyes.

We restocked Uschitita Merino Singles! Yay! This yarn is so scrumptiously soft and beautifully dyed. I made a lovely Alaska hat out of it for Luca a few years back. I may have to pick out a few more colors and create something beautiful! We have fantastic colors to choose from. It's been a minute since we brought in new stock for this yarn, so it's
almost like it's new again!

KnitiFacts Ringlets & Ringers
|
We restocked Knitifacts Ringlets and Ringers! You may or may not know (or care?) that these are my absolute favorite go-to stitch markers. Smooth, unobtrusive, beautifully colorful and ideal for most of the projects I've made so far! Ringlets fit up to US 8 and Ringers fit up to US 10.5

Reminder - Winter Solstice Boxes!
|
The Winter Solstice Box pre-order closes October 31, or once we reach our limit. That leaves just about 2 weeks to get your order in! These will ship out the first week of December. I'm using photos of the fall box to give you an idea of how the boxes look when they come. The winter box will be, of course, a winter theme. It's been so fun to
put these together! We can't wait to get this next one out!

If you participated in Camp Loopy you should have gotten an email about your rewards. I had some bounce back, but if you did not hear from us and you believe you earned a reward, please reach out. I'm working on the bounce backs from yahoo & aol users (who knew I'd have to learn to manage DNS - DKIM, DMARC and the like?). I don't like it!

This week we saw a LOT of knitted knockers come in, but I didn't photo them all!
Kailee wore in her beautiful Ivey Blouse by Petiteknit. Hers was made using JulieSpins Silky Suri. I LOVE the color. Great job Kailee!
We don't have cross stitch supplies, but Brendan has been joining us for Sit & Knit and working on cross stitch sometimes. He took a picture of his boss's dog and created this amazing realistic cross stitch! So beautiful!
Loopy Kudos!!

My Carrot Patch Sweater by Svetlana Gibadullina sat by yet another week. It's made using The Uncommon Thread Corriedale held together with The Uncommon Thread Divine Lace (or Urth Yarns Bonmoher for the carrots). It's scrumptious.
My Klein Pause blanket by Susanne Shahin got some love at Sit & Knit this past week, but it's slow going for sure. I'm using Sirdar Jewelspun Aran.
I progressed only a very tiny bit on my Kitties on my Lap Blanket by Magda Stryk Therrien using CamaRose Yaku. I have until January, right?
I made my very first pair of knitted knockers on Saturday! I used the Knitted Knockers approved yarn, Cascade Ultra Pima. They were a quick knit and for a cause! If you feel inspired to make a pair too, you can find the pattern for knit or crochet on the Knitted Knockers website. We also carry Universal Yarns Bamboo Pop which is an approved yarn.
I also slipped in a hat so I could feel accomplished. I made the Blue Wave Secret Message Hat by Lake and Prairie Knits. My secret message was 'Choose Love'. I used scraps of Malabrigo Rios I had at home. It only took less than a half skein of each!
Have an excellent and creative week! Kristine & the Loopy Ewe Crew
